Product Description

The perfect balance between cozy and lightweight. – Rhylee C.

Enjoy that crisp winter weather in the Alpine – your fully-waterproof, lightweight, minimalist snow boot

Now you don’t need to sacrifice comfort and natural movement when the temperature starts to fall and snow is in the air (and on the ground).

Alpine Introduction

Waterproof, cozy, and warm!

The Alpine keeps the wet out with a fully seam-sealed inner bootie and a water-resistant membrane in the boot’s upper.

The insulated polyester fleece lining keeps those piggies nice and warm. And a heat-reflective insole adds to the winter-friendly comfort. And, yes, you can remove the insole for an even more “barefoot” feeling.

The Alpine has 200g insulation, rated to -32°C/-25°F, so they should keep your feet warm no matter where your adventures take you.

Lightweight and grippy

A women’s 37.5 weighs just 346 grams each, a luggy tread gives you sure-footed traction, and a flexible, non-elevated (zero-drop) sole lets your foot move naturally.

Plus, the Alpine is made from 100% vegan-friendly materials.

Whether you wear the Alpine for a romp in the snow or after you slip off your ski boots, remember…

Life-changing comfort and superior performance come from using your feet naturally.

That’s what Xero Shoes let you do.

Natural Fit. Natural Motion. Natural Feel.

Plus Xero Shoes are backed with a 5,000-mile sole warranty.

Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry.
We do not recommend putting your Xeros in the washing machine or dryer.

The answer is YES! The Alpine is a great boot to pair with snowshoes, especially with the zero-drop, FeelTrue® rubber soles for a low center of gravity. Most snowshoes secure the boots with straps that go over the toes, instep, and around the heel, and will work just fine with the Alpine. And with our 200g insulation, rated to -25°/-32°C, and the fully seam-sealed, water-resistant inner bootie, your feet should stay warm and toasty while you’re hiking!

Unlike, say, sleeping bags, there’s no accurate temperature rating system for shoes. How a shoe handles the cold (or, rather, how a person handles the cold in a shoe) depends on factors beyond air temperature, including: ground temperature, humidity, blood circulation in your feet, foot mobility (the more you move, the warmer you might feel) and, of course, the socks you’re wearing (or not wearing, as the case may be).

The short answer is, the Alpine has 200g insulation, rated to -32°C/-25°F.

With the seam sealed bootie, heat-reflecting insole, insulated synthetic lining, and lugged sole, we’re giving you a cozy natural movement option for staying warm in the cold.

Great service, great shoes!

The shoes feel confortable when walking in them, they just fit perfectly and look great. The customer service was also really helpful with a problem I had with my orders. Overall great service and great shoes :).

Happy about them

They're definitely the most comfortable winter boots I've ever had. They are wide enough for spreading my toes and luckily the size I ordered allows for a wool sock too. Didn't have the chance to test their waterproofness yet, but they definitely keep my feet warm at -2 C. Not the same barefoot feeling as the other pair of xeroshoes I have, but they meet my main expectation for a good sole insulation and grip. They're not really my style, but in winter function gets ahead of fashion. I think I would have enjoyed these boots even more with a wool lining and a way to get them on and off faster. It would be great to have consistency in sizes among different models of shoes, it would make ordering easier. My first pair that fits perfectly (a model I absolutely love, that is no longer produced) is a no. 37.5, while these boots are size 36.5.

Sizing is small

I ordered size 39 for my 24cm foot because I have Xero Mika -shoes with the same size and they fit perfectly. However, I guess the heel is different in Alpines and they ended up being slightly too small. The shoes themselves seemed wellmade and warm, naturally I don't have experience about that because size 40 had sold out at that point and I had to return the shoes.

I LOVE them!!!

Pleasantly (very) warm, the foot doesn't sweat in it. Extremely comfortable and very cool looking. Totally recommend 🙂

Very comfy and warm

The first time I wore the boots I went on a 13 km walk in a frozen forest. No blisters or pain, and my feet were kept toasty warm. My feet are 22,5 cm long and 9,5 cm wide. I usually wear size EU 36 or 37 in shoes (depending on the width), and size EU 37,5 ( US 6,5) in sneakers. Wide forefoot, narrow midfoot and heel. At first I ordered size 38,5 for these boots because the website says they run small. But they were much too big. So I sent them back and ordered size 37,5. Then they fit perfectly. The toebox is very roomy, I can put on thicker socks. Good that there are laces to lock the foot in and make sure it doesn’t slide forwards.
