Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry.
We do not recommend putting your Xeros in the washing machine or dryer.

Five stars so far!

They are very comfy, and wide where I need it – which is along the entire foot. Toe box is wide enough for me, no problem, but some other brands tend to only think of the toe box. My entire feet are wide, apart from the heel, and these accomodate that width throughout. Other, more "traditional" hiking boots that I've tried work well enough at first, but after a few days of hiking my feet start hurting on the side of the foot, along the abductor digiti minimi. So far there has been no trouble whatsoever with that from these shoes. I can feel that there won't be an issue with that at all, with these boots. They are very sturdy and give enough support, without being heavy at all. They probably weigh as much (little) as regular running shoes. They feel great walking in snow, and they are great hopping between rocks. Looking forward to taking them to the Swedish mountains this Summer, to see how they hold up in that varying terrain with my bag packed full of hiking gear and photography equipment. Oh, by the way – they look even better in real life!

My Xero Experience

I ordered a pair of Ridgeway boots, and went with the online advice to go with my normal size. The boots were delivered over the Christmas holiday while I wasn't home, and got returned to Xero because I hadn't been able to collect them from the GLS Pick-up Point within 10 days. Xero managed to get the boots back to me, but I then found they were going to be too small if I wore my normal hiking socks. The return process was very easy, just had to print a label and take the boots to my local post office. I then had to wait a couple of weeks because the next size up was out of stock, but as soon as they were in, they were sent to me. The team at Xero (I don't know how many there are, but I just dealt with Hugo and Caitlin) responded to all my emails straight away through the whole process, and kept me fully up to date with the status of my order. There was absolutely no need for me to worry about anything. As for the boots, I took them for their first long walk over the weekend, and after 3 hours they felt as though they had been made specially for me. Highly recommend the product and the service.

Comfy, warm, and cute

My first pair of barefoot shoes. I like how they look, usually I find barefoot shoes rather **** but the retro colors are really cute. I have been using these to walk my dogs. Comfortable and really warm, it has been -22 C outside and my feet stay warm with just my usual socks. Only con is that they are rather low, and so snow can get in pretty easily. I am happy with them however and could imagine trying out some other Xero shoes in the future.
