The Hana is, first and foremost, a casual shoe. But since it’s built on our high-performance FeelTrue® sandal base, it’ll handle much more.

Why you’ll love the Hana

Natural FIT — a wide toe box lets your toes spread and relax. Plus the “XERO-drop” sole (non-elevated heel and low-to-the-ground) allows for proper posture, balance, and agility.
Natural FUNCTION — the Hana is flexible enough to let your feet bend, move, and flex the way, well, that feet are supposed to. Plus, they’re so lightweight, you’ll barely know you have them on. A men’s 42 is only 226 grams each.

BTW, “Rain-Friendly” isn’t the same as “waterproof.” Fully water-proof shoes have a technical liner, sealed seams, and a much higher price. By pre-treated the Hana with a water-resistant coating, you get an extra layer of protection against light splashing right out of the box.

As with all treatments of this type, it will wear off over time, so we recommend re-treating as you would other water sensitive footwear regularly depending on use.

Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry.
We do not recommend putting your Xeros in the washing machine or dryer.

How do I care for my Hanas?

You will be able to hand wash them with a mild soap and water mixture. The canvas is quite durable, and should come clean easily with a little scrubbing.

DO NOT place your Hana’s in the dryer when you are finished cleaning, let them air dry.

How do I find my Hana size?

Shoe sizing, especially online, is not a perfect process. That’s why we offer exchanges for all of our shoes.
We have sizing instructions at the bottom of the product description for the Hana.
The Hana fits fairly “true-to-size”, so you’ll probably be okay selecting your “usual” shoe size. If you think you’re “between sizes,” go with the larger size.

Also, the Hana is wider than conventional shoes. The canvas upper can stretch to become a bit wider.
Keep in mind, though, that because the foot is three-dimensional, any two-dimensional measuring tool, such as a ruler or Brannock device®, can only approximate your true shoe size. Manufacturers model their shoes on different foot shapes, which is why you might be an 41 in one brand and a 42 in another.
Sizing for a shoe is different than a sandal, so if you own one of our sandals, that doesn’t mean you’ll pick the same size in the Hana.

Is the Hana waterproof?

No, the Hana is a canvas shoe, and will absorb any water it encounters. That being said, they are canvas and should dry relatively quickly when you take them off.

What can I do in the Hana?

Practically anything. Though the Hana is designed as a casual shoe, it’s certainly capable of much more than just hanging out.

We’ve had people do all kinds of outrageous activities in them so far, but it’s up to your best judgment what you believe they can handle.

So, use your common sense and have fun!

Why do my Hanas suddenly feel looser?

The canvas upper on the Hana can stretch a bit. Most people find this makes them even more comfortable. The huarache-inspired lacing should hold nicely around your midfoot to let your toes be more free.

How do I send a gift certificate?

After you purchase a gift certificate, you’ll be able to enter an email address for the recipient.

You could email it to yourself and forward it at a later time if you like.

A wonderful staple!

This shoe is so versatile, I use them almost everyday. The shoe itself is extremely comfortable and the soft material make them feel more akin to slippers than shoes. I chose the all black pair with orange highlights and they work perfectly for the gym, office or even just hanging out with friends. By removing the inner soles, you feel really in touch with the ground and the wide toe box allows your feet to spread naturally. In my opinion, these are an absolute triumph and a definite staple in anyone's collection.

Excellent

The shoes are really comfy. Fingers have all the space needed while the heel is well fixed. Also you can put on the shoes without unlacing them (they are stretchy). And the sole has no wear&tear after 3 months.

Better then it seems

At first they feel stiff but after a few moments you just forget you’re wearing them. Very comfortable although a bit slippery in some tiles surfaces.

Looks good, feels good but can still be improved

Overall the shoe looks good and feels good but I have a few nitpicks: 1. The sole can be a tiny bit slippery on some wet surfaces. 2. The shoe wears a little long. I ordered true-to-size and the width was perfect but I think I had too much space for my toes.
