To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry.
We do not recommend putting your Xeros in the washing machine or dryer.

Comfortable non-waterproof shoe

Very comfortable shoe. Long distances in difficult terrain are no problem with this shoe. But even a short, heavy rain shows that it is not waterproof. I had the experience of climbing Kilimanjaro at the end of January. But I have to say, apart from the incorrect description, I would buy it again. But not for a price that is at least 50% too high because of the false illusion of waterproofness.

A bit stiff at first

They were really stiff at first, to the point that they hurt the top of my feet when the material flexed, creating a pleat that pressed against them pretty hard. I was a bit disappointed at first and really hoped this wouldn't last. Fortunately, now that they are broken in, they don't hurt anymore and they are amongst my favorite shoes! I wanted a minimalist shoe that would be suitable for fall/winter and they are great! I walked with them at freezing temperature, even in snow, and was fine! They look great too!

Bad quality sole, good foot shape

The soles of the boot is a vert chap rubber. My cooler calls it a basicly plastic sole. This makes the sole really slippery on har surfaces and it will quickly degenerate. For the price of these shoes I expected alot more quality. This I problem I noticed the first time I used them outside and slipped when walking down a slope.

Good grip but stiff

Not as soft and comfortable as the regular Mesa trail. The outer soul is grate and flexible with good grip. It is a little bit narrow for the toes and my pinky is pressed a little, especially when waring a little thicker toesox. Waterproofing has worked so far but I have not pushed them too much, used them in a little rain and snow but the wet grass test will come during spring. Size wise they are at least one full size smaller than the Mesa Trail 2 is my feeling. Part of that feeling could be that they are more stiff in the fabric.

too short.

it size shorter than other xero shoes. Too short for me. I gave it to someone else. Too complicated to change when you buy it online. Don’t know if I’ll buy another time online, because I can’t try it before.
