Nice shoes that fit more narrow than others

I wanted to keep these shoes but they fit narrow with a lower instep compared to my other five pairs of Xero shoes. Good quality and I would buy if they produce a wider model.

Disappointing traction

I wanted to buy into the idea that training in a shoe with minimal cushioning and wider toe box would improve my training stimulus (currently I play in a zero drop shoe but with a high foam stack). I had two indoor volleyball sessions in these (4 hours total) and I can't say my feet/leg muscles/tendons way challenged more than with my other shoes. One big factor was that the traction on these is terrible compared to other basketball shoes you will find on the market. I have 3 other pairs of shoes and it's night and day when it comes to the performance of the outsole. I played on a vinyl court and it feels like I'm sliding - especially after a the shoes and some time to collect the dust off the floor (imgur.com/a/RRjNM0o - picture of the outsole after a session vs after cleaning with a cloth and warm water). I can imagine on clean NBA courts these might perform fine but for most of us who don't have access to those surfaces these will not perform well. When it comes to the rest of the shoe I think it's "fine" - nothing crazy good to talk about but also no major issues to report either. Breathability is fine, not sure about side to side containment but it's very hard to get a feel for that as the shoe slides for me if I put any notable amount of side pressure. I will give them a few more tries but most likely I will use them as either outdoor shoes or gym shoes. For future improvements traction is the #1 thing to be fixed. After that maybe some extra stabilization for the side containment would be useful if it turns out current construction doesn't provide enough support when no slipping occurs. I enjoy mid top shoes as I have a tendency to roll ankles on low top ones (never sprained it) and the extra material helps me feel the position of my ankle but the drawback is that compared to low top shoes, and also I generally experience less ankle slipping with mid/high top shoes. The drawback is less dorsiflexion on average but I'm not sure if that's something that can be improved while maintaining the mid top and good ankle lockdown.

Llevo usando calzado barefoot dos años, soy jugadora de voleibol y se me hacía complicado encontrar un zapato que se ajustase a mis necesidades en la cancha. Creo que he encontrado el calzado perfecto! Las zapatillas tallan bien, quizá un poco más de lo normal, son espaciosas en la puntera y llevan algo más de amortiguación que el típico calzado barefoot, aunque no restringe la biomecánica del pie. La calidad parece muy buena, aunque todavía no las he probado en la cancha, tengo muy buenas sensaciones.

Great for other sports too

Finally a barefoot shoe that enables stable side movement. Works really well for tennis on hard court! Can only recommend it. Next iteration would benefit from more breathability 😉
