To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry.
We do not recommend putting your Xeros in the washing machine or dryer.

Comfortatable, need to get used to it

Walks quite comfortably, but need to find out what steap-adjustment works best. I find the velcro straps a bit short

Looks and feels great - but too expensive.

I made my first 50 kilometers with these sandals. Activities: walking, driving a car, hiking, running, and mountain climbing (on a very easy level). Cycling will follow. My impression until this moment: I like the Z-Trail very much. It is a super light, comfortable to wear sandal with a comfy foot bed and good holding straps. It is well suited for most activities, but the more rocky the terrain, the better might be other shoes (which is fine). Before, I was on Teva Hurricane XLT which gave me definitely more stability and through the thick sole, you have advantages in rough terrain. But I like the light weight and the slim size of my Xeros and the feeling of just having a protective element strapped on your bare foot. For size: I got the EU 46 while usually also wearing shoes in 46, but I think next time, I’d try a smaller size to fit the overall size of my foot better. I printed the size sheet from the website to match my size and it’s fine while standing on it, but walking in the sandals, I had the feeling that I often slip to the front and have a lot of free foot real estate behind my heel. Would be nice to compare to a different size for some kilometers to be able to get a better feeling for that. Two things that cost the fifth star (I’m very critical though): 1. the material of the foot bed gets damaged quite quick on contact with rock, which will happen while trail running. Through that, the sandal will get a “used look” in a short time. 2. The sole has three rubber parts that give it a good grip, but sometimes I was wishing for a complete rubber sole - at least combine the part below the toes and the foot ball. When you are hiking in the mountains, it sometimes helps to have grip even on parts of the foot you don’t usually use while walking. So that’s about it! Great sandal, like it very much, looks and feels great. Would buy again, but next time I wait for a better offer. 90€ is too much. I’d pay 60€ gladly, but 90… that was a one time purchase.

Not for me

I liked the idea of these, but they don't work for me. The front strap keeps tightening all the time by itself, so I have to readjust it mid run. Also I hate the foam "comfort" layer. I don't like the feeling of it under foot and it squeaks when my feet sweat.
